Good afternoon friends.

Usually our blogs are written once a week by the head of the development team - Vahe Zakaryan. Vahe talks about how the messenger functionality is being developed, how the team comes up with and implements new features. But today we decided to highlight another area of our work. After all, it's not enough just to make cool functionality in the messenger, you also need to tell people about it and convince them to install Gem4me. This can be done by our traffic manager - Roman Barzykin.

Usually Roman launches all advertising campaigns all over the world: this allows the algorithms of advertising platforms to be optimized for a large number of users. This way we can get more installs for less money. But this strategy has its drawbacks. For example, it is difficult to focus on the audience of a particular country.

Meanwhile, we have a hypothesis that if we consistently work out traffic to certain territories (countries), then sooner or later it will give a certain boost - people will start installing the messenger just because they will start talking about it “from every corner”... What do we need to do? We need to get popular bloggers to start talking about the brand.

We decided to start with Indonesia. We made the list of the most popular Indonesian bloggers with a total audience of over 19 million people. And we started to work. Bloggers made small videos for their channels, told about Gem4me to their audience - mainly on Instagram and YouTube. A month later, we identified two bloggers who gave us the largest audience reach: they turned out to be Jonathan Liandi (an Indonesian gamer blogger with an audience of more than 3 million people) and Kamar JERI (an audience of more than 2 million, with the general topic of the channel). This couple really gave us their entire audience - from them alone we got more than 5.3 million views. Of course, not all of those who watched the videos have installed Gem4me. But now it's just a matter of time. Why are we so sure of this?

The fact is that in parallel with the launch of blogger campaigns, we launched standard advertising campaigns for Indonesia. At first, the price was significantly higher than usual. But after bloggers posted their video and “warmed up” the audience, the installation cost dropped by 40%, and the total number of downloads tripled. And this is just in a couple of months.

Conclusion: by conducting an advertising campaign with bloggers in Indonesia, we "helped" the algorithms to find more loyal users from Indonesia, people from this country began to download Gem4me more often and actively correspond in it.

In fact, the "Indonesian" campaign is far from over and we will not sum up its full results soon. We also hope that our Indonesian bloggers will continue to run their channels on Gem4me. If you speak Indonesian - join us!
